Residency Interview Trip, December 2002

Tonya drove 3400 total miles in a rental car to interview for residencies in the mountain west. Starting in Denver, she then went to Grand Junction, then Cheyenne, then Provo, then back to GJ to stay for a few days, then down to Albuquerque, then up to Casper, then up farther to Billings, and finally back to Denver and then GJ. And no books on tape. *whew*.

Snow blowing in streams across the highway somewhere in Wyoming. Never seen snow behave like that before.

A famous western wear shop in downtown Cheyenne - feels a lot like downtown Grand Junction.

Nothingness as far as the eye can see. Probably Wyoming. Or New Mexico. Or Montana. There's a whole lotta wonderful nothing out west.

Civilization at last! "Invesco Field" glimpsed while navigating traffic on I-25 northbound. (Go Broncos!)

The view from the hotel room in Provo overlooking the Great Salt Lake.

What in the world is a soap dispenser doing in my shower? Juniper Inn, Billings.

One of the many gorgeous sunsets seen while driving. This is probably Wyoming or New Mexico or... well, you've heard that one before.
